  • The Parkinson Disease patient does not have a normal level of the neurotransmitter dopamine.   As a result of that, this really challenges the movement capabilities of the patient/client.
  • By the end of the 2020 in the United States, nearly one million individuals will have the Parkinson Disease.
  • Worldwide statistics indicate that over 10 million persons are living with Parkinson Disease.

Diabetes

Gestational Diabetes

Gestational Diabetes can occur when too much glucose (sugar) remains in the blood instead of being used for energy.  As a result of this, some women develop diabetes for the first time when they are pregnant.  Nutrition & exercise can be of great aid to ladies experiencing Gestational Diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes

Individuals with Type 1 Diabetes are unable to produce insulin.  Insulin is a key hormone that your body needs to transport glucose from the bloodstream into the cells of the human body.  This condition can be managed, but this disease cannot be reversed.

Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes is the most common type of Diabetes.   If you have this type of Diabetes, your body does not use insulin correctly.  Fitness and Nutrition are definitely two things that have a major impact in managing Type 2 Diabetes.   Many persons can eventually reduce their medication or eventually stop taking it when good consistent nutrition and exercise is ongoing in their lives.   Eating a sensible diet and having a safe and structured fitness program can be of tremendous help if you have Type 2 Diabetes.
